2012 The Structure Of Nervous Cell
The fuction of nervous tissue is to transmit stimulation (impuls) from one part of the body to other part. The tissue is composed of nervous cell of the body to other part. The tissue is composed of nervous cell or neuron which can be found in brain, nerves and backbone.
Neuron consists of three part, dendrite, cell body, and axon. Axon is covered by myetin membrane in segments and in some regions, there is a gap called nodes of Ranvier. In myelin sheath there is Schwann cell, a Cell which is necessary to make new myelin sheath.
Neuron also can be distinguished into tree types based on the function, which are sensoric neuron, motoric neuron, and association neuron (interneuron).
