Cytoplasm is the protoplasm that fills in spaces between plasma membrane and nucleus. Cytoplasm of plant cell is distinguished into two parts, ectoplasm and endoplasm. Ectoplasm is the cytoplasm that is confined with membrane, where areas endoplasm is cytoplasm within the inner parts. Inside the ectoplasm of plant cell, there are a lot of plastids.
In animal cell, ectoplasm is the plasm membrane itself, while liquid within ectoplasm is endoplasm. There is no plastid in animal cell
Cytoplasm is composed of cytosole, the dissolved parts of cytoplasm that fill on spaces of organelle. Cytosol is a solution system consisting of 90% water, dissolved organic matter, and colloid (undissolved matter).
